Fifa's World Rankings for October 2023 were published on October 21, 2023 at FIFA HQ in Zurich, Switzerland.

There was little change in the top 10 teams since September.

World Cup winners Argentina remain at the top of the rankings, in fact, increasing their lead. France are still second followed by Brazil.

England are fourth, followed by Belgium, Portugal, The Netherlands, Spain, Euro 2020 winners Italy, and then Croatia.

Morocco who reached the semifinals in Qatar are the top African team in 13th place. Wales are 28th. The USA are in 11th place (no change).

Australia are in 27th place again no change since September and July; Japan are in 18th position up one. Near neighbors, South Korea are up to 24th in the listing. Scotland are in 34th place, down 3.

The Republic of Ireland are in 58th place down three, while Northern Ireland are down to 75th. The lowest-ranked team is San Marino in 207th place.
